Austin Lewis Stonemason has been established for 18 years as a family run business. With a lifetime of experience as a traditional stonemason, Austin now manages with a team of passionate tradesman to take on projects all over Somerset and Dorset. As well as stonemasonry and construction, Austin offers carpenters, plumbers, electricians and architectural services.
Specialising in listed buildings and stone builds, Austin project manages the construction from start to finish and liaises with building inspectors and listed officers. Austin has proudly repaired historic churches and monuments including Glastonbury Monument, Ilchester Pinnacle and Martock Pinnacle.
Since the age of 16 Austin has learnt the specialised art of traditional stonemasonry and is passionate about working with local stone such as Hamstone, Portland Stone and Purbeck Stone. Now Austin is a guardian of the craft and takes on apprentices stonemasons to train them in this important trade. His sons have also established themselves into the local building trade as a plumber and electrician.

- Renovating and repairing Listed buildings and monuments
- Traditional lime plastering and repairs in lime plaster
